XTPL is a company operating in the nanotechnology sector. It develops and commercializes a globally innovative technology for ultra-precise printing of nanomaterials. Due to the platform-like nature of XTPL’s nanoprinting solutions, they can be implemented in many rapidly developing industries. The Company is continuously verifying new areas of application for its technology.
Main challenge
Efficient and simple collaboration between teams is essential for the company. Due to the number of meetings they organize, a functional calendar and a simple video chat are the most important tools for them. For teamwork to be effective, the team must freely access data and have the ability to collaborate on it in real time. Data access also means that all the resources available in the shared space must be quickly and conveniently searchable.
Depending on the tasks they are assigned, some employees can access only specific files.
Choosing G Suite was one of the first decisions made after starting the company. The applications from the suite had proved effective in various areas of activity. The FOTC team was very helpful and responsive. We had the opportunity to attend several conferences organized by the them, and learned many useful G Suite tricks.
Solution
The company has used G Suite since its beginnings. This decision was made because of the positive experience with the free version of Gmail. As the company developed, the possibility to increase storage capacity (Google Drive), variousdata protection features (Google Vault) and easy collaboration (Google Docs, Google Sheets) were particularly important for them.
In addition, using Google Calendar allows to find the most appropriate time slot and available rooms for the meetings – whether it’s a small one-on-one catch-up or a big company meeting. Regular meetings for all employees can also be held using Google Meet, which allows all employees, regardless of their location, to take part in them. To efficiently search files, employees can use Cloud Search. Due to the fact that the company creates various knowledge bases which can be accessed by specific employees, the organization also uses a hierarchy of access permissions.
Results
The decision to implement G Suite was one of the first decisions made at the company. Cooperation in the area of G Suite implementation was smooth and effortless . Several employees took part in conferences organized by FOTC, where they had the opportunity to learn how to use the service as effectively as possible, and learned some useful tricks.
G Suite is simple, intuitive similar to the personal version of Gmail. This is why employees have no problems using it and are satisfied with the company’s work system. In order to deepen the employees’ knowledge about the tool, internal trainings and tutorials were organized at the company. It helps both new and experienced employees to better optimize their work.
